(e). The lessees to pay into the Colonial Treasury within. one week of the date mentioned in (a) the sum of $9,000 towards the cost of removal and rebuilding of the latrine at present on the site. The work to be done by the Public Works Department. (f). In the event of any excavation being done on the lot, the lessees to take such precautions as the Director. of Public Works may direct to ensure the safety of the retaining walls supporting Bridges Street, Ladder Street and Tank Lane. They will further be held responsible for any damage which may occur to the said walls or to adjoining property through such excavation.

(g). The lessees to form, channel and surface the areas shown coloured green on plan to such levels as the Director of Public Works may approve. Such areas to be handed over to Government free of cost on

completion.

(h). In the event of the lessees desiring to have the

steps in Ladder Street altered, such alteration will

subject to the approval of the Director of Public Works, be carried out by the Government at the cost

of the lessees.

(i). The lessees to pay into the Colonial Treasury within one week of the date mentioned in (a) the sum of

$25 for boundary atones which will be supplied and

fixed by the Director of Public Works.

(j). The lessees to pay to the Land Officer when called

upon to do so the sum of $30 for the Crown Lease.

(k). The exact boundaries of the lot to be determined

before the issue of the Crown Lease and premium and

crown rent to be then adjusted in accordance with

the area and rates at which the lot was granted.
